Every job is exciting when you first start. You feel good about going in every day because you get to learn something new and meet new people. Time sometimes causes work to get stale, however, but you can rekindle the love for your job these three ways.

Take a Break

If your job gets to be too much for you, you could always take a break from it. Most employers allow their employees vacation or personal time of some sort. Take a week or two off and completely change your environment. Cut your phone off and disconnect, as well. You may find the new job feeling restored to you when you return.

Change Your Job Duties

Sometimes, doing the same thing every day gets boring because it's not as challenging as it used to be. You can change your job duties to spice things up for yourself again. Ask your supervisor if he'd cross train you in another department or give you some more responsibilities in your existing department. The process may spark a new flame for your employment once again.

Transfer Stores

Finally, you may need to change your entire environment to experience the feeling of peace and newness. There's nothing wrong with putting in for a transfer if you feel like your time there has become stale. In fact, you owe it to yourself to provide some stimulus when you feel yourself falling down the slope of doldrums.

Those are some ideas that might help you to feel fresh about your job. They may help you to extend the length of time you remain with your employer. Try the previously mentioned tips to get a bit of excitement back into your work life. You may be surprised at the motivation that flows through you afterward.
